New Student and Parent Information Sheet

Tae Kwon Do is a an aggressive martial art and the training is strenuous.  Our objective is to build character, physical fitness, and self confidence which are integral parts of Tae Kwon Do.

We will adhere to the true WTF Tae Kwon Do guidelines with the addition of the USA TKD Olympic training to offer our students the most comprehensive program in the area.

School Requirements:

· Florence TKD Academy reserves the right to accept, reject, or delay admission of any new student.

· Once a student is accepted into the program monthly fees will be paid before 1st enrolled week of classes, no exceptions.

· Student must order and pay for a Dobak (uniform) within the first two weeks of class.

· Students from other martial arts programs will be evaluated and placed based on their individual skill set as it pertains to Tae Kwon Do.

· Academics are more important than any extra curricular activity or sport.

· Florence TKD Academy will review all interim reports and report cards. Students with deficient interim cards will be reprimanded, and students with deficient report cards will not be allowed to attend classes until grades are brought up to an acceptable level of C or better.

· Florence TKD Academy expects its students to conduct themselves in a respectful manner and live by the Tenants of Tae Kwon Do both in and out of the Dojang (school).  Failure to do so can result in disciplinary action and possible dismissal from the program.

Testing Requirements:

• Testing will be held at two month intervals.

• Florence TKD Academy determines when a student is eligible for testing.

• Students must take a minimum of two classes per week during a testing period to be eligible for testing.

• Attending an adequate number of classes does not guarantee eligibility for testing.

• Tuition must be up to date and testing fees paid for student to be eligible for testing.

• Students must spar at least twice per month in order to test.
